The Gladstone Region was very excited to welcome back cruising for the first time since early 2020 at the newly opened Gladstone Ports Corporation's Cruise Terminal in November.
Passengers and crew from Holland America’s MS Noordam along with locals were treated to a range of local art, handmade crafts and enticing cuisine at the 'Feast On East Markets', along with a civic cruise presentation to mark the exciting occasion.
It was also wonderful to see a number of Gladstone Region Welcome Ambassadors, as they provided passengers with information regarding local tours and attractions and free Gladstone Region Walking Maps.
This marks the exciting return of cruise ships to the Southern Great Barrier Reef, with passenger and crew feedback being overwhelmingly positive.
