Lady Musgrave Experience Welcomes Luxury New Flagship Vessel - Reef Empress

After only three years of operating from the Port of Bundaberg to the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Bundaberg company Lady Musgrave Experience are expanding and launching the luxury Reef Empress in November as the new flagship vessel of their fleet.

Sitting at an impressive 35 metres in length (9 metres longer than the Main Event) and seating 220 guests over 3 levels, the Reef Empress will cruise at a speed of 25 knots.

Previously known as the Lady Jane Franklin II, the vessel was built for luxury cruises in Tasmania and was purchased by Brett Lakey of Lady Musgrave Experiences in 2018.

“We completed a 3 month extensive refit of the vessel and are proud to launch the Reef Empress to Bundaberg. The larger vessel will offer our guests a smooth, comfortable ride to Lady Musgrave Island and lagoon in under 2 hours, giving guests more time to enjoy exploring the Southern Great Barrier Reef” said Brett Lakey, owner/operator of Lady Musgrave Experience.
